A late-night armed robbery at the KFC Montrose branch in Chaguanas left employees shaken and police searching for two suspects who escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.
It happened att around 11:40 p.m. on Friday. A security officer was on duty outside the southern entrance of the fast-food outlet when he was approached by two men, one armed with a firearm.
The armed suspect reportedly held the guard at gunpoint, pressing the weapon to the side of his abdomen and announcing a hold-up. The assailants then ordered the security officer inside the building and instructed him to lie on the ground.
