TTPS Arrest Suspect For Robbery, Kidnapping Cases Involving TTRS Drivers

One male suspect, described by investigators as the ‘mastermind’ behind two reports of Robbery with Violence against TT Ride Share drivers, has been arrested and is to be charged in connection with the incidents.

Reports indicate that a 25-year-old victim was driving his Toyota Yaris around 7:45 pm, on June 10th, 2026, when he received a request via the TTRS App for a location drop off in the Laventille area.

The victim proceeded to 8th Avenue Barataria, where he picked up a man and proceeded to Laventille Road. There he allegedly observed a man walking along the roadway armed with a gun.
