(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Public Works has received 18 bids from international firms for consultancy services related to the reconstruction of the existing road network along the East Coast Demerara corridor, from Mahaica Bridge to Abary Bridge.
According to information published by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) following the opening of tenders, the bidding consultants represent Uruguay, India, Italy, the USA, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Colombia, South Korea, and Trinidad and Tobago — with several partnering with local consultants.
In its request for expressions of interest, the government indicated that the consultancy services would encompass a review of existing designs, procurement support, and construction supervision, including Environmental and Social (E&S) Compliance, for the road project.
