(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Public Works has received 14 bids from local and international construction companies to undertake the design and construction of bridges across the Mahaica, Mahaicony and Abary Rivers/Creek.
The projects are part of the reconstruction of existing road network on the East Coast Demerara between Mahaica and Abary, Region Five.
According to the tender minutes recently published by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), bidders who submitted application for the project are: BK International Inc (Guyana); H. Nauth & Sons (Guyana); STS Construction India PVT Limited (India); K.P Thomas & Sons Contracting Inc (Guyana); DCSN Construction & General Supplies Inc (Guyana); AI Mutawa Trading Company (Oman); China Railway Construction Caribbean Limited (China & T&T); China Road & Bridge Corporation (China); Terratek; HGG Insaat Anonim Sirketi (Turkey); Excel Guyana Inc Guyana); Sri Avantika Contractors India Limited (India), Sandhu Contractors PVT Limited, V.E Solution (J.V); China Railway First Group Company Limited, in joint venture with China Railway Liuyuan Group Company Limited (China) ; and Ashoka Buildcon Limited (India).
