A 75-year-old woman was robbed of her cash and groceries by a man pretending to be a taxi driver on Monday.
The Freeport woman told police she had shopped at a supermarket and walked out to Eleanor Street, in Chaguanas, where she waited for a taxi at around 2pm.
She said she entered a white station wagon, believing it to be a PH taxi. A man was seated in the front passenger seat wearing a surgical mask.
