HEAVY afternoon showers triggered widespread street flooding across Trinidad yesterday, with Port of Spain and environs taking the brunt during peak commuting hours.
Some showers were expected yesterday as the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) on Tuesday issued an Adverse Weather Alert, Yellow Level, for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. yesterday, which also warned of the possibility of street and flash flooding with the rains.
