Ten in­di­vid­u­als, eight men and two women, have been de­tained un­der Pre­ven­ta­tive De­ten­tion Or­ders (PDOs).

The Min­is­ter of Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty, Roger Alexan­der, is­sued the or­ders be­tween March 19 and June 5, au­tho­ris­ing de­ten­tion at the East­ern Cor­rec­tion­al Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­tre in San­ta Rosa, Ari­ma; the Women’s Prison at Gold­en Grove or oth­er des­ig­nat­ed fa­cil­i­ties.

The women named in the or­ders are Ani­ka Chadee of Pi­paro and Akeema Fer­gu­son of Long­denville/Ed­in­burgh 500. Both were de­tained on al­le­ga­tions linked to or­gan­ised crime groups, in­clud­ing pos­ses­sion of firearms and in­volve­ment in fa­cil­i­tat­ing or sup­port­ing planned armed ac­tiv­i­ty, ac­cord­ing to the de­ten­tion or­ders.
