A man was chopped during a heated altercation with a relative at their home along Torrib Tabaquite Road, Brother’s Road, Rio Claro on Monday afternoon.
Police said the incident occurred around 3.45 pm after the dispute began when the suspect’s dog scattered the victim’s coffee beans, prompting an argument. The situation escalated when the 39-year-old victim approached the suspect with a piece of wood, making threats.
The confrontation continued upstairs before the victim returned, again swinging the wood at the 56-year-old suspect, who managed to avoid being struck.
