An ar­gu­ment over a dog spilling cof­fee beans left one man in the hos­pi­tal nurs­ing chop wounds while an­oth­er was ar­rest­ed.

Po­lice said around 3.45 pm on Mon­day, a 39-year-old res­i­dent of Broth­er’s Road was at his home when he had an ar­gu­ment with an­oth­er oc­cu­pant over his (the oc­cu­pant’s) dog spilling his cof­fee beans.

Ac­cord­ing to the po­lice re­port, he ap­proached the oc­cu­pant with a piece of wood and threat­ened him, as he swung the wood at him. The man grabbed a cut­lass and chopped the oth­er man on his hand, and they be­gan fight­ing. Rel­a­tives in­ter­vened and called the po­lice.
