A 57-year-old man was violently robbed and his vehicle stolen in Sangre Grande on Thursday night.
The labourer and for-hire driver of a silver Nissan Y11 (PBY 6259), was approached near Top of the Line Meat Mart along Eastern Main Road by three men wearing dark clothing.
They asked for a ride to Manrick Street. When he became suspicious and refused to pull inside, the suspects forced him into a headlock, dragged him from the car, and threw him into the roadway before fleeing south in his vehicle.
