The Bail (Amendment) Bill, 2026, was approved in the Senate on Friday night.
After being considered clause by clause and approved with amendments, the bill was read a third time and passed by a margin of 20 for, ten against, and no abstentions.
The sitting ended at 10.07 p.m. and was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
