PUBLIC Utilities Minister Barry Padarath has rubbished claims by Opposition MP Marvin Gonzales that the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) was unable to pay suppliers of water treatment chemicals, resulting in the ongoing problem of discoloured water in several communities.
Padarath yesterday dismissed the allegations as malicious and politically motivated, insisting that there had been no disruption in the supply of chemicals required to treat the country’s water.
