Police are investigating allegations made by a Princes Town woman who reported that she was held against her will for two months by a man, who allegedly sexually assaulted, beat and robbed her.
The alleged false imprisonment ended last week when police officers on patrol in San Fernando observed the victim allegedly in distress on the road, and they intervened.
Following the intervention, officers arrested the suspect, who remains in police custody as investigations continue into allegations of sexual assault, robbery, false imprisonment, and assault.
