A PLEASANTVILLE man on remand for the murder of a police officer in 2013 was found dead in a cell at the Port of Spain Prison, Frederick Street, on Sunday.

A post-mortem is to be performed at the Forensic Science Centre, Federation Park, to determine his exact cause of death.

The deceased, Kelvin Wallace, 35, was one of four people arrested for the 2013 shooting death of Sgt Hayden Manwaring, who on February 19 had responded to a robbery in progress at Mom’s Diner at Cipero Street, San Fernando.
