A pris­on­er who was on re­mand for the mur­der of a po­lice of­fi­cer was found dead in his cell at the Port-of-Spain Prison on Fred­er­ick Street yes­ter­day.

He has been iden­ti­fied as Kelvin Wal­lace, 35, of Flamin­go Cres­cent, Pleas­antville.

Wal­lace was one of four peo­ple ar­rest­ed in 2013 in con­nec­tion with the mur­der of Po­lice Sergeant Hay­den Man­war­ing, who was re­spond­ing to a rob­bery at Mom’s Din­er on Cipero Street, San Fer­nan­do, on Feb­ru­ary 19 of that year.
