14 Cuban women rescued in suspected TIP operation in Bartica

Some 14 Cuban women suspected of having been trafficked to Guyana were found at a location in Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), during an investigation.
Police stated that on Wednesday, acting on information that a Cuban female national was allegedly being held against her will, ranks proceeded to a location in Bartica, where Cuban female nationals were found.
During the operation, a 33-year-old Cuban male national was arrested in connection with the matter.
