Chief Election Officer Fern Narcis-Scope has declared that a document circulating online naming her as a member of the People’s National Movement (PNM) is fake, and the matter will be reported to the police.

The Express sent Narcis-Scope a copy of the docu­ment, which claims to list returning officers for the upcoming general election who are registered PNM members. Among the 11 names listed is a “Fern Narcis” with a Carlsen Field ­address.

At a news conference on Tuesday, United National Congress (UNC) attorney Darrell Allahar called on the Chief Election Officer to publicly state whether she is or has ever been a member of the PNM, either under her married or maiden name.
