Police are investigating a report of larceny after a man’s bedroom was allegedly entered and $11,000 in cash stolen during the early hours of Friday.
The victim, a 60-year-old man of El Socorro Main Road, San Juan, reported that around 2am on Sunday, he placed a Nike strap bag containing $11,000 in cash between his bed and the wall of his bedroom before going to sleep.
Around 5am, he said he awoke and, while still lying on his bed, heard a noise coming from the side of the bedroom. On checking, he observed a man using PVC pipe to retrieve the bag of cash.
