Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar has warned parĀents that they must take reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀty for disĀciĀplinĀing and guidĀing their chilĀdren beĀfore they grow inĀto adults who run afoul of the law.
In a mesĀsage markĀing the start of the new acaĀdĀeĀmĀic year, PerĀsad-BissesĀsar told parĀents not to leave their reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀties to teachĀers, sayĀing disĀciĀpline, reĀspect and reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀty must first be taught at home.
āDo not dump your parental reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀties onĀto teachĀers, that is your job, you made your chilĀdren, it is not the teachĀersā or anyĀone elseās reĀsponĀsiĀbilĀiĀty to mind them,ā she said.
