Pensioner arrested for shotgun, air pistol at Hague

(Kaieteur News) – Police are investigating the discovery of a suspected 12-gauge shotgun which was found on Wednesday, about 11:30hrs, at a residence at Hague Back, West Coast Demerara.

Preliminary investigations revealed that ranks, acting on information received, proceeded to the location in relation to reports of gunshots being heard in the area.

Upon arrival, ranks contacted a 74-year-old pensioner and conducted a search of his residence. During the search, a suspected 12-gauge shotgun was found concealed between a bed and mattress in the lower flat of the premises. An air rifle was also handed over to ranks.
