Police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a Maloney woman early this morning.

The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Simone Rose.

Eyewitnesses reported that around 6:30 a.m., Rose had just exited a taxi at the intersection of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway and O’Meara Road and was standing on the side of the eastbound lane when she was struck by a vehicle.
