China hands over medical supplies to Ministry of Health

(Kaieteur News) – Chinese Ambassador to Guyana, Yang Yang handed over a quantity of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

The equipment was handed over to Dr. Frank Anthony, Minister of Health. The medical supplies were donated by the visiting delegation from National Health Commission of the PRC.

Ambassador Yang noted that China-Guyana health cooperation is built on a solid foundation and has delivered tangible results. According to a press release by the Chinese Embassy in Guyana, China has continued to offer Guyana support in medical supplies, technical exchanges and personnel training. “For over 30 years, the Chinese medical teams have remained committed to providing quality medical services to the people of Guyana,” the release added.
