China has donated a first batch of relief supplies to assist Guyana’s response efforts following the recent MV Barima tragedy.
The donation was officially handed over on Tuesday during a ceremony attended by China’s Ambassador to Guyana, Yang Yang.
Also present were Counsellor Li Hanqing of the Chinese Embassy, representatives of Chinese enterprises operating in Guyana and Deputy Director General of the Guyana Civil Defence Commission, Mark Thomas.
