Police have arrested three young men in connection with an arson at a home in Upper 6th Avenue, Malick.

Authorities said Bianca Charles, 62, was at home when the fire broke out shortly before midnight on Friday. Her daughter, Janine Joseph, received a call from a friend reporting the blaze. Firefighters from the San Juan Fire Station attended the scene, but the fire was already extinguished. Damage was observed to the kitchen counter, wares drainer, and two window curtains.

Morvant CID officers canvassed the area for CCTV footage and interviewed witnesses. Based on the information gathered, police arrested an 18-year-old, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old of Barataria. They were taken to Morvant Police Station for questioning.
