A MEGA musical tribute featuring some of Trinidad and Tobago’s biggest entertainers will form the centrepiece of the farewell ceremony for legendary calypsonian The Mighty Sparrow (Slinger Francisco) today.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is expected to announce plans to further honour his extraordinary contribution to the nation and the Caribbean.
Minister of Culture and Community Development Michelle Benjamin told the Express with seating at NAPA limited, she invited the public to line Frederick Street or join at the Grand Stand of the Queen’s Park Savannah, where they can view the funeral. She said they can also watch live on TTT and WACK TV, and follow the ministry’s social media for updates.
