A 63-year-old man from Santa Cruz had his car battery stolen while cutting grass along Lady Young Road, Morvant, on June 8.
According to reports, the man secured his silver Toyota Aqua around 1pm and began cutting grass nearby. When he returned at about 4.15 pm, he discovered the small triangular glass on the right rear door had been shattered.
On further inspection he saw the interior of the vehicle had been ransacked and the hybrid battery, valued at $15,000, was missing.
