MINISTER of Homeland Security Roger Alexander said in the Senate that police operational measures had been increased in the Longdenville area following reported home invasions and recent violent incidents.
Between Wednesday and Friday, there have been at least three reports of home invasions in the Longdenville community, and two similar incidents reported in the Cunupia community.
Yesterday during the Senate sitting, Opposition Senator Faris Al-Rawi posed questions to Alexander on what urgent steps would be taken to improve safety in Longdenville following reported trauma incidents. Alexander said the Police Service was working alongside the community to restore trust and confidence in the shortest possible time.
