Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar arrives in Tobago today for her first official visit since taking office, and talks on autonomy are expected to dominate the two-day stopover.
The trip comes at the invitation of Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, who formally wrote the Office of the Prime Minister under provisions of Act 40 of 1996.
A team of ministers and senior officials will join the Prime Minister, including Attorney General John Jeremie, Jeearlean John, Barry Padarath, Saddam Hosein, Davendranath Tancoo, Michael Dowlath, Roger Alexander and Dominic Smith. Also expected is Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister and head of the public service, Natasha Barrow.
