AN OCELOT suffering from a gunshot wound in a forest in Cedros was rescued on Sunday.
The 18-month-old animal underwent emergency surgery to treat the injury and is expected to survive.
Following the incident, a senior game warden warned hunters against operating outside of regulated hunting hours and cautioned that injuring protected wildlife is a serious offence.
