Po­lice are try­ing to es­tab­lish the de­tails of a shoot­ing in Champs Fleurs that led to the death of a Bel­mont man and the wound­ing of a woman ear­ly on Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the woman was dri­ving her grey Toy­ota Rav4 on Daniel Dri­ve, off Mendez Dri­ve, at around mid­night when a white Nis­san Wag­on drove on­to the road, block­ing her path.

Two gun­men got out of the car and re­port­ed­ly shot at her ve­hi­cle, be­fore shoot­ing at an­oth­er car be­hind her.
