The murÂder of 42-year-old Michael DunÂcan outÂside his BelÂmont home on MonÂday night is beÂlieved to be the latÂest inÂciÂdent in an onÂgoÂing gang war beÂtween riÂval gangs in the comÂmuÂniÂty, resÂiÂdents say.
PoÂlice said DunÂcan, alias “DonÂkey”, was sitÂting in his silÂver NisÂsan Almera, which was parked outÂside his LuÂcien Road home, around 9.55 pm when resÂiÂdents heard a volÂley of gunÂfire.
One of DunÂcan’s relÂaÂtives who was in the house at the time checked and saw him slumped in the driÂver’s side seat of the car with sevÂerÂal gunÂshot wounds.
