Morvant resident shot in neck while talking to woman in car

A Morvant man was shot on Wednesday night while sitting in a car with a female friend.

Investigators said the 39-year-old man of Paradise Heights, Morvant and the 23-year-old woman of Las Alturas, Morvant were in a white Nissan Tiida at Industrial Road, Morvant, around 10.10 pm when a masked gunman walked up and ordered them out.

As they refused and locked the doors, the gunman fired a single shot, hitting the driver in the neck before walking off.
