(Kaieteur News) – The A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) on Thursday dispatched a letter to the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ashni Singh, seeking a 25% salary increase for public servants before the Christmas holidays.
During a press conference on Friday, the party said its missive was clear that public servants “are not asking for charity” but “a fair share of a national windfall that belongs to all Guyanese.”

The party has called for the minister to respond to its call for the increase, and to publish the cost of the increase and its sustainable funding over the coming years.
