An 18-year-old student fought off an armed home invader who attacked his grandmother and then turned on him during a brazen afternoon robbery at their Point Fortin home on Friday.
The teenager was struck on the back of his head with the firearm before he grappled with the masked intruder and managed to force him out of the house.
But the gunman fired a shot in his direction as the struggle spilled into the yard.
