Repairs are underway at the Matura Water Treatment Plant following a temporary shutdown caused by adverse weather and mechanical failure, WASA said Monday.
Flooded river conditions and clogged intake screens initially disrupted operations. A mechanical fault in the plant’s internal pipeline system later delayed repairs further.
The affected communities include Matura, Salybia, Pierre Street, Gray Trace, Orosco Bay Road, and Mendoza Street.
