The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has reported that several surface water treatment facilities in the Northeast Region were currently out of operation due to heavy overnight rainfall.

In a release Thursday WASA stated that adverse weather conditions have caused riverine flooding, high turbidity, clogged intake screens, and siltation, disrupting normal operations at the following facilities:

Matura: Matura, Salybia, Pierre Street, Gray Trace, Orosco Bay Road, Mendoza Street
