Residents across several areas in north-east Trinidad are experiencing water supply disruptions following heavy overnight rainfall that affected operations at several surface water treatment facilities.
According to a status update issued by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) at 11:00 a.m. today, flooding and river overflow have caused high turbidity and clogged screens at multiple facilities. This has hindered water treatment operations in communities from Toco to St. Joseph.
