(Kaieteur News) ā A post-mortem examination completed on Friday has confirmed that 10-year-old Gabriela Rodrigues died from liver lacerations, severe haemorrhaging, and shock after being struck by a motorcycle on Independence Boulevard on Saturday, September 12.
Speaking with Kaieteur News, Commander of Police Division 4A, Deputy Commissioner of Police Simon McBean, confirmed that an active investigation is wrapping up, with the complete case file slated to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice on charges.
āAn investigation is being done. That is a report that has to be completed and submitted for legal advice, because the accused person is a juvenile also, so that has to be done,ā McBean stated.
