It is no secret that Tobago is home to natural wonders that attract visitors from across the globe. In this week’s I Love Tobago segment, one author is using storytelling to introduce children to the island’s natural treasures while inspiring a deeper appreciation of the environment.
Author and self-published Leeanna Alexander said after moving to Tobago at the age of seven, she quickly fell in love with the island’s natural beauty.
Mrs. Alexander then embarked on a mission to create storybooks. A Trip to the Buccoo Reef is the first in a series of children’s books under the theme, “Tobago Treasure Trips.” The inspiration for the book’s design came from her experiences as both a mother and teacher.
