(Kaieteur News) Two more people have been remanded to prison for the murder of a man whose body was found stuffed head-down in a barrel at the Le Repentir Cemetery six months ago.
Edgar Lawson, called ‘Baby’, a 33-year-old businessman of Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara, and Keiran Barrett, called ‘Bucko’, a 50-year-old vendor of East La Penitence, Georgetown, appeared separately before Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where the charge was read to them.
They were not required to plead to the charge, which states that between 23rd December and 25th December 25, 2025, at Charlotte Street, Georgetown, they murdered 39-year-old Levi Williams, called ‘Vamperous’.
