Thirty-three-year-old Edgar Lawson, also called âBabyâ, a businessman from Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara (EBD), and Keiran Barrett, also referred to as âBuckoâ, 50, a vendor from East La Penitence, Georgetown, were charged with the murder of Levi Williams, called âVamperousâ, whose body was found stuffed in a barrel at Le Repentir Cemetery.
Lawson and Barrett appeared before Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrateâs Court, where the charge was read to them separately.
They were accused of murdering Williams between December 23 and December 25, 2025, at Charlotte Street, Georgetown. They were not required to plead and were remanded to prison until July 29, 2026.
