Scarborough police are investigating a home invasion and robbery in which a 63-year-old retired man was assaulted and his vehicle stolen.
At around midnight on Wednesay, the victim was in his living room at his Signal Hill residence when he heard his front door open. Two men entered the home. One suspect, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, stocky, dark brown complexion, wore long dark pants and a dark blue t-shirt with his face partially covered. The second suspect, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, light brown complexion, slim build, dressed in a blue t-shirt, grey jeans, and white sneakers, had a firearm.
Police said the men beat the victim, forced him to lie on the ground, and tied his hands and mouth with duct tape. They took his vehicle keys and placed him in the trunk of his black Nissan X-Trail, registration PBX 4785. The suspects then drove him to Bacolet Point, Bacolet, where they expelled him from the vehicle and made off with the stolen SUV.
