Government has expressed condolences and confirmed that there has been Cabinet-level attention following the Belmont triple murder that left a two‑year‑old dead on Thursday morning.
Speaking at a Post Cabinet Media Briefing, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Sean Sobers, noted that the incident was discussed by multiple Ministers and stressed that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is actively working to bring those responsible to justice.
Minister Sobers said the loss of a child’s life made the incident especially devastating and confirmed that it was addressed at the highest level of government.
