(Kaieteur News) – An Essequibo man was killed on Sunday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a hire car while he was reportedly overtaking another vehicle at a turn along the Charity New Road Public Road, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
The dead man has been identified as Stephen Seenauth, 21, of Charity Squatting Area, Essequibo Coast.
According to police, Seenauth was riding an unregistered motorcycle west along the roadway when he attempted to overtake another vehicle as the vehicles approached a turn. He reportedly lost control and ended up in the path of a hire car travelling east at about 60 kilometres per hour.
