The Mickela Panday-led Patriotic Front has emerged as the third political force in Trinidad and Tobago, following the general election held on April 28.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) released the official vote count, including a breakdown by party and independent candidates.
According to the EBC, 617,712 people voted, representing 54 percent of the electorate. This marks a decline from the 58 percent turnout recorded in the 2020 general election.
