Australian firm ramps up exploration at Reg. 7 gold project with 3 drill rigs

(Kaieteur News) – Australian explorer Altair Minerals Limited has ramped up drilling activities at its gold project in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), with three drill rigs now operating across its South Oko (SOKO) and North Peters (NP) targets.

The company announced the commencement of its maiden drilling mid-August at one of the four targets located at Greater Oko Gold Project, which spans approximately 428 square kilometres (km²) of contiguous mining lands.

In a recent update, Altair said, maiden Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling has commenced at both SOKO and NP, alongside its ongoing diamond drilling programme at NP. The company plans to conduct a 15,000-metre Phase I RC drilling programme at SOKO, while at NP, a 2,000-metre maiden RC drilling, alongside the 5,600-metre diamond drilling programme already underway.
