(Kaieteur News) Two gold miners, Rondel Richardson, 29 of Craig Village, East Bank Demerara, and Ronald Barker, 49, of South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, were on Monday remanded to prison for robbery under arms.

They appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Caressa Henry. The duo was jointly charged with the offence of robbery under arms contrary to Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.

Both men pleaded not guilty and bail was denied. The matter was adjourned to 23rd September, 2026, for continuation.
