Miner remanded for unlawful possession of gun, ammo

Jermine Proctor, 32, a miner of Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD), who was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, has been remanded to prison.
Proctor was arrested on Thursday and appeared before Magistrate Caressa Henry at the Bartica Magistrateās Court on Monday, where the charges were read to him.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison September 29, 2026.
