(Kaieteur News) – Three men were on Wednesday charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm: 24-year-old Jevion Jones, a gold miner of Caribese Hill, Bartica; 31-year-old Conroy Cox, a pump attendant of Third Avenue, Bartica; and 29-year-old Romario Smartt, a gold miner of Sixth Avenue, Bartica.

The three accused appeared before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed at the Bartica Magistrates’ Court where the charge was read to them and they all pleaded not guilty.

Each was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 and the matter was adjourned to 24th July , 2026, for continuation.
