Chief Election Officer Fern Narcis-Scope has denied allegations of “voter suppression” in the marginal constituency of Aranjuez/St Joseph.
The constituency recorded the highest turnout of special electors yesterday, which led to delays in voting.
However, Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the EBC’s explanation itself raises further questions and concerns and she called on election observers from Caricom and the Commonwealth to pay close attention to marginal constituencies.
